Terms

Terms of Use

Last updated 21 September 2026. These terms are binding.

The terms for hosting and playing community Valorant tournaments on ValoTour. Hosts run the cups and provide the prizes; ValoTour provides the tooling. Accepting them is part of setting up an account.

1.The Agreement

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding contract between you ("you", "User") and ValoTour (operated by The SaaS People) ("ValoTour", "we", "us"), governing your use of the ValoTour website, services, and any associated tournaments (the "Platform").

You accept these Terms (version 2026-09-21) by ticking the box when you set up your account, and by hosting or registering for any tournament. In doing so you confirm that:

  1. You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
  2. You have read our Privacy Notice at /privacy.
  3. You are 18 or older, or your parent or guardian has agreed on your behalf (Indian Contract Act, 1872, s.11; DPDP Act, s.9).

If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2.Eligibility

You may use the Platform if all of the following are true:

  • You are 13 or older (Riot's minimum for a Valorant account). If you are under 18, a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Notice on your behalf; you told us so at sign-up, and your account cannot take paid entry plans, is never session-recorded and gets no marketing.
  • You hold a Valorant account that complies with Riot Games' Terms of Service, and the Riot ID on your profile is your own.
  • You are not banned from ValoTour, and you are not evading a ban with a new account.
  • You are not using the Platform from a place where taking part in online competitions of this kind is unlawful.

We may ask for proof of age or identity where the law requires it. Giving false information is a material breach.

3.Accounts and identity

You create an account by signing in with Discord, Google, Twitch, GitHub, Microsoft or a one-time e-mail link; methods that share a verified e-mail address attach to the same account. Guest browsing creates a temporary account that cannot register, host or post and is deleted after two weeks of inactivity.

You agree that:

  • You are responsible for everything done from your account.
  • You will not share, sell or lend it, or run more than one account.
  • The Riot ID on your profile is yours and is the one you play under. Playing under another account (smurfing), lending your account, or fielding a substitute who is not on the roster ("ringing") is grounds for an immediate ban and forfeiture of prizes.
  • Your Discord username on the profile is current; hosts use it to reach you.

Referral and stream codes, where used, are personal and may not be sold.

You can download your data or delete your account at any time under Account → Privacy; see the Privacy Notice for what survives deletion.

4.Acceptable Use & User Conduct

You agree not to:

  1. Cheat, exploit, use unauthorised software, hardware advantages, or any third-party tool that confers an unfair advantage in Valorant or on the Platform.
  2. Engage in match-fixing, throwing, or any coordinated manipulation of results.
  3. Harass, bully, threaten, dox, or discriminate against any other user, host, moderator, or staff member.
  4. Post or share content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit (especially involving minors), defamatory, or that infringes any third-party right.
  5. Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server, or data; circumvent security measures; or scrape Platform data via automated means.
  6. Use the Platform to launder funds, finance unlawful activity, or violate sanctions.
  7. Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from any part of the Platform.
  8. Impersonate ValoTour, a host, a moderator, or any other person.
  9. Operate more than one ValoTour account ("multi-accounting") or evade a ban using a new account.
  10. Use the Platform in violation of Riot Games' published rules or its Community Competition Guidelines.
  11. As a host, collect entry fees while paid entry is switched off, or describe any fee as a stake, wager or pooled prize.
  12. Scrape, export or use other players' personal data (Riot IDs, Discord usernames) for anything other than running the tournament they entered.

Violations may result in warnings, match forfeiture, prize forfeiture, account suspension, or a permanent ban at our sole discretion. Where conduct constitutes a criminal offence, we may report it to law enforcement under the IT Act, 2000 and applicable provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

5.Tournaments and match play

Hosts run their cups

Tournaments on ValoTour are organised by independent hosts. The host sets the rules, format, rank window, schedule, prizes and, where enabled, entry fee, and decides disputes. ValoTour provides the tooling and is not a party to the competition, the prize or any payment between you and a host.

Registration and check-in

A registration is confirmed when you press Register (or join with a duo or team code) and the tournament shows you on its roster. Hosts may require check-in before the start; missing it may drop you to the waitlist or out of the bracket.

Results

Both sides report the score in the match room. Matching reports are final. Conflicting reports, no-shows and rule breaches are decided by the host from the evidence in the dispute, and the host's decision is final within that tournament. Hosts may also enter results directly.

Records

Match records (maps, agents, statistics, placements) and messages in match rooms are visible to the people in that tournament and, for records, on public pages. Entering false results or reports is a breach of these Terms.

Changes and cancellations

Hosts may reschedule, cancel or merge a tournament. ValoTour may suspend or remove a tournament that breaks these Terms, Riot's Community Competition Guidelines or the law.

Streaming

Hosts may stream matches and use ValoTour's overlays. By taking part you allow the host to broadcast and record your gameplay, name and Riot ID for tournament coverage.

6.Fees

Hosting fee

Hosting is free during early access. When a hosting fee is introduced it will be a flat fee per published tournament, announced at least a month ahead, charged in your local currency through Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd., with GST added where applicable and a tax invoice issued. ValoTour never sees your card or UPI details.

Entry fees

Paid entry is switched off on this platform. Every registration plan is free. This follows the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, which prohibits offering or facilitating online games that a user pays to enter in the expectation of a monetary win, unless the game is a registered e-sport. Community cups on ValoTour are not registered with the Online Gaming Authority. Hosts must not collect entry fees off-platform for a ValoTour tournament; doing so is a breach of these Terms and may be unlawful.

7.Refunds and cancellations

Hosting fee

Refundable in full if ValoTour cancels the tournament or a fault attributable to ValoTour prevents publication; otherwise non-refundable once the tournament is published. E-mail hello@thesaaspeople.com with the tournament id; approved refunds return to the original instrument within 5–10 business days via Razorpay.

Entry fees (not applicable while paid entry is off)

Entry fees, where they exist, are between you and the host and follow the host's published rules. A host who cancels before the start is expected to refund in full. Report a host who does not refund what they owe from the tournament page or to hello@thesaaspeople.com; ValoTour may suspend the host but cannot return money it never held.

This section is published for the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and Razorpay's merchant disclosure requirements.

8.Prizes

The host provides the prize

The prize a tournament advertises is offered and paid by its host, in the form the host states (cash, UPI, Valorant Points, gift cards, merchandise). ValoTour does not fund, hold, purchase or pay prizes and gives no guarantee that a host will pay. ValoTour's Money tab lets a host record what was paid and to whom; that record is the host's statement, not ValoTour's.

Hosts' obligations

A host who offers a prize agrees to pay it to the winners within 30 days of the final, to any tax deduction at source the Income-tax Act, 1961 requires of them (s.194B applies to winnings above the statutory threshold), to collect any KYC the law requires from winners, and to keep prizes free of any stake or wager. Hosts organise community competitions under Riot's Community Competition Guidelines and may not imply Riot's endorsement.

Claiming

To claim a prize you must have placed as confirmed in the tournament's results, be in good standing, and respond to the host's contact within 30 days. Prizes may be withheld from anyone disqualified for cheating, smurfing, ringing or breach of these Terms.

Disputes about prizes

Raise them with the host first. If a host does not pay an advertised prize, report it to hello@thesaaspeople.com with the tournament id; ValoTour may suspend the host and will assist lawful enquiries, but is not liable for the prize.

9.Intellectual Property

ValoTour-owned content

All ValoTour-original content — including the brand, logos, UI design, copy, and original artwork — is owned by ValoTour (operated by The SaaS People) and protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and Trade Marks Act, 1999. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute it without prior written consent.

Riot Games' marks

"Valorant", "Riot Games", and related marks, agents, and assets are the exclusive property of Riot Games, Inc.. ValoTour is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games. Any use of Riot's marks on the Platform is strictly nominative fair-use to identify the game in which our tournaments take place. Your use of Valorant remains governed by Riot Games' Terms of Service and Universal Rules.

User-submitted content

By submitting content (tournament descriptions, comments, dispute evidence, screenshots, recordings) you grant ValoTour a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, host, display, reproduce, and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

10.Third-party services

The Platform uses services whose own terms apply to your use of them and whose outages are outside our control:

  • Discord Inc., Google LLC, Twitch Interactive, GitHub Inc., Microsoft Corporation — sign-in.
  • Riot Games, Inc. — the game. ValoTour is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Riot Games; "Valorant" and "Riot Games" are its trademarks.
  • Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd. — hosting-fee payments and refunds.
  • Hostinger, Resend, Microsoft Clarity (with your consent), Cloudflare Turnstile, Sentry — hosting, e-mail, session recordings, bot protection, error reporting. See the Privacy Notice for what each receives.
  • Your Discord server — a host may connect a webhook that posts tournament announcements there.

11.Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, ValoTour disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant:

  • That the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
  • That tournaments will be free from technical issues caused by Riot, Discord, your ISP, or your device;
  • That a host will pay an advertised prize, honour a refund, or run a tournament competently;
  • That match-fixing or cheating will be detected in every case despite our reasonable efforts.

Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.

12.Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  1. ValoTour, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of opportunity, or loss of reputation, arising from your use of the Platform.
  2. Our aggregate liability for any and all claims arising under these Terms or in connection with the Platform is capped at the total amount you have paid to ValoTour in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹10,000 (ten thousand rupees) — whichever is greater.
  3. We are not liable for any losses caused by Riot Games' systems, Discord, Razorpay, your bank, your ISP, or any other third party outside our reasonable control.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory of recovery and even if ValoTour was advised of the possibility of such damages.

13.Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ValoTour (operated by The SaaS People), its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, hosts, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

  1. Your breach of these Terms or our Privacy Notice;
  2. Your violation of Riot Games' Terms of Service or any applicable law;
  3. Your interactions or disputes with other users, hosts, or third parties;
  4. Any content you submit to the Platform.

ValoTour reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume exclusive defence and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you.

14.Suspension and termination

By you

Delete your account under Account → Privacy at any time. Tournaments you host must be finished or cancelled first; registrations in cups that have not started are released.

By us

We may suspend or terminate an account, remove a tournament, or withhold Platform features, with notice where practicable, if you breach these Terms or the Privacy Notice, cheat, harass, fix matches, collect entry fees where paid entry is off, create legal or security risk, ignore a lawful order, or evade a ban. Three community reports from different tournaments ban an account automatically; e-mail hello@thesaaspeople.com to contest a ban.

After termination

Provisions on fees owed, intellectual property, indemnity, limitation of liability, dispute resolution and governing law survive.

15.Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Consumers may also approach the consumer forum with jurisdiction under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019; nothing here limits that right.

Step 2 — Mediation

If informal resolution fails, the parties shall attempt mediation in good faith for 30 days.

Step 3 — Arbitration

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms — including questions regarding their existence, validity, or termination — that is not resolved through Steps 1 and 2 shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

  • Seat and venue: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
  • Language: English
  • Number of arbitrators: One, appointed by mutual agreement; failing agreement, by the relevant authority under the 1996 Act.

The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding on the parties. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking interim relief from a competent court.

17.Modifications to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The last updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.

For material changes (fees, refund eligibility, liability caps, governing law) we give at least 14 days' notice through an in-app notice and, where e-mail is configured, an e-mail to your address, and ask you to accept the new version (currently 2026-09-21) the next time you sign in.

If you do not agree with the revised Terms, stop using the Platform and delete your account under Account → Privacy.

18.General Provisions

  • Severability — If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall continue in full force.

  • Force majeure — Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including acts of God, government action, civil unrest, internet outages, or pandemics.
